#3252 - Users getting accidentally blocked

We have had 2 users in the last two days unable to retrieve their bikes because there cards were disabled.

One was a Clipper card user at Palo Alto Caltrain Station locker PA03
https://www.bikelink.org/trouble_tickets/17519

The other was a Bikelink Card user at Sandag Harborside Trolley station locker HR02
https://www.bikelink.org/trouble_tickets/17531

Both locations have gateways.

Both users had ongoing rentals and when they tried to end their rental they got a message from the locker saying "Card Disabled" (this is the message you get when your card is blocked). On the website there is no record that the their cards were ever blocked.

We ended the rental using the Lost Card Code, and for the BikeLink card user cleared their card (unblocked it). When the cards were used at the users got the "card disabled" message again. But they were able to use a different locker at their same location successfully.

I thought there might be a problem with Blocked Card List, and noticed that the blocked card timestamps looked wrong. The timestamps are not current, and they are not all the same at the lockers.

Update 1/25/23

https://bikelink.org/trouble_tickets/17545

This happened to another user at Palo Alto, locker PA07 (different gateway from previous user).

The timestamps for blocked card list are also in the far past.

The last up-to-date timestamp for the blocked card list at this gateway was on 01/23/2023 01:46AM (node table entry ID: 919008).
